Paul Murphy started Zencore IT Services in 2006 and brings the knowledge and skills gained in 15 years of delivering network, infrastructure and security solutions to business of all shapes and sizes - in all stages of their evolution.  After working his way up through a number if successful IT management roles, Paul became an independent contractor in 1999 and since then has consulted on large scale infrastructure project for clients, such as ANZ, Lloyds TSB, Crest, Village Cinemas, GE Money and Melbourne Water.

Born and bred London, Paul’s fascination with computers began as the first Commodore 64’s were hitting the shelves in Europe.  Until then personal computing had been considered impractical, with cumbersome mainframe systems and the engineers that went on site to fix them, the backbone of business computing.  Paul was at college then and already working on developing enterprising small business and community-based systems – just for fun. 

As we know now, Paul was witnessing the beginning of a revolution, a fundamental shift in how we would work, play and communicate because of technology.   Since deciding to pursue an IT career in 1990, Paul has been part of the ever-changing world of business technology solutions.  From the early days of storing information on large disc reels in his first IT job, to the introduction of the first client/server models, WAN/LAN development and the rise of the Internet as a business communications tool, through to today’s world of wireless networking, e-commerce and information security, Paul has helped numerous organisations to develop and implement better IT services. 

After meeting a like-minded Aussie girl in London, Paul made the lifestyle move to Australia in 2004, settling first in Melbourne, where he spent two years as a security engineer with global System’s Integrator, Dimension Data.  Following the theme of moving to smaller, more picturesque places, Paul is now based in Albury where he services regional North-East Victoria and Southern NSW, as well as consulting on projects in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. For more information about Paul Murphy and Zencore IT Services please visit our contact page.
